The thought of bringing children into this de­praved world used to give me pause. Three years of working in non-profits to support victims of sex crimes placed ten thousand nightmares into my mind’s eye. I have learned to eliminate that fear by fighting to make a difference.

As we contemplate constitutional reform, we must face the reality that our constitutional legacy has come from Great Britain and there is a strong body of opinion that is not favourably disposed to entertaining any kind of substantive alteration from that way of thinking.
