Which ethnic group next, Mr Roget?

Ancel Roget, president of the Joint Trade Union Movement (JTUM), is being severely condemned for his call to boycott businesses owned by the “one per cent” in T&T.

Roget is seeking to attack the minority Syrian/Lebanese business owners because of their success by dint of their hard work, dedication and sacrifice.

Roget and his overwhelmingly black comrades want to punish those who have succeeded in business, education, medicine, etc.

Which ethnic group will be targeted next?

Would it be the East Indians who own small and medium size businesses like supermarkets, hardwares, gas stations, truck transportation, etc?

If he becomes the political leader of T&T, or influences the present leader, this country could end up like Uganda in 1972.

Led by Idi Amin, Uganda ordered the expulsion of the Indian minority population, giving them 90 days to leave the country.

Amin accused the Indians of being unpatriotic, corrupt and refusing to inter-marry.

Amin defended his expulsion by arguing that he was giving land, property and space back to Africans who were in the country before Indians.
