Driving on the shoulder
Is there are a new law in T&T that I am unaware of that allows drivers to speed on the shoulder to get ahead of traffic?
It appears to be so as this occurs on a regular basis on our nation’s highways, apparently without any consequences.
Many drivers continue to bypass the congestion by speeding down the shoulder.
This is infuriating because it can cause needless accidents which lead to more congestion.
The next time the shoulder looks like a tempting way of escape, take a second to think how your actions will affect those around you, but also think about the risks posed and this I hope will encourage you to stay in your lane.
