Prisoner escapes from Arima court
Murder accused Teddy Singh made a daring escape from the Arima Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning. The incident occurred shortly after he was taken to the court in a prisoners’ van.
According to a police report, Singh, 26, was in the court’s holding bay when he managed to escape. He is an inmate of the Golden Grove Maximum Security Prison in Arouca.
He is of East Indian descent, five feet nine inches tall and sports long hair worn in a ponytail. Singh was charged with murder in December 2014.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest police station or 999 or 555.
