Kidnapped Valencia teen back home
VALENCIA schoolgirl Christine Wong has been released by her abductors after a small ransom was paid, police said yesterday.
The 15-year-old was kidnapped on September 12.
The third form El Dorado Secondary student was up to late yesterday being questioned by investigators from the Anti-Kidnapping Squad.
Police said she was released in the Valencia area early yesterday morning.
Investigators confirmed that a ransom had been paid.
Contacted yesterday, a relative said Wong was at home resting.
They said they could not understand why the kidnappers asked for an “an exorbitant amount of money” since the family was not well off.
Wong was last seen in the company of a young man at a Valencia supermarket and later in a silver-coloured car at Valencia Junction.
She was wearing her school clothes.
