Phoenix, Technocrats chase 2nd title in ECU T20
Phoenix and Technocrats Women’s Cricket Clubs will chase their second title of the season when they compete in the T&T Women’s Cricket Association (TTWCA) Twenty20 competition. The contest which is being sponsored by Eastern Credit Union (ECU) starts today and runs for four consecutive weekends, with the final carded for May 29. The Deandra Dottin-and-Stacy-Ann King-led Technocrats which won the season opening 40-Over League based on run rate, will take the field against San Rafael this morning from 10 am at the Arima Senior Comprehensive.
Later at 2 pm, San Rafael will be in action again, this time versus Cricket Lovers. Another double-header will be played at the Pinto Recreation Ground in Arima with Spice Girls looking to match skills against Maaad Rangers and later meeting Moosai. Knockout champion Phoenix which is led by West Indies Women’s captain Merissa Aguillera, will open Saturday against Hibiscus.
